Morning Light

I am obsessed with the light in my room in the morning time. It's so bright, it wakes me up at 6:30 most days (I still don't have curtains), but it's so lovely, I don't even really mind.

I just want to take pictures of it.

When I was little, I desperately wanted my bed to be "built-in" to my wall. I remember meeting with the contractor when my parents were renovating our house, and drawing him a picture of the bed that I wanted, with bookshelves all around it and a curtain I could draw around me when I slept. I have every confidence that it was my seven-year-old drawing skills, not my parents budgetary and design limitations, that prevented him from building me exactly what I envisioned. (I did get a built-in desk, though! It's still pretty cool.)

Anyway, that's all to say that I was completely primed to love all the sleeping nooks over at You Are My Fave. They are all so cozy and lovely, and y'all should go take a look if you haven't already.

Happy (almost) Weekend!

Fall is coming! Fall is coming!

It is freezing outside, and for some reason, I couldn't be happier.

Right now it's pouring outside my window, but I'm all curled up in my cozy bed and it is perfect.

(It seems that two down comforters is the way to go if you want a cozy bed.)

This weekend is looking like a good one: on Friday night, I'm going to a concert with my country-music-obsessed friend (I'm a little nervous- I've never been to a country concert before! What if I hate it?), and then on Saturday, I'm getting together with a couple of people to make pasta!

What are your exciting plans for this cold and stormy weekend?

Finally, the Much-Awaited Pictures! (Or, I Do Not Like Studying Cognition)

I finally figured out how to make my computer recognize my digital camera. It is quite complicated. First, you must plug it in. Then, it opens iPhoto, and then it uploads the pictures. Very very difficult.
Anyway, this means that you guys get pictures! Of my bed! And my new computer!

p.s. There seems to be a demand (i.e., from two people, one of whom has seen it in real life) for pictures of my new bed. Unfortunately, my camera is sick with no batteries, so I need to get some before I can post pictures of the glory that is my room.

Have I mentioned yet that I love my new bed?
I've never really been one of those people who does work in bed, but I think I might become one. Just because my new bed is that fantastic.
