Today I took a baby step.

I had a little free time, so I went to the coop, climbed up their crazy stairs* to the third floor, pulled a book off the shelf, and plopped my little** butt down on the floor, and started to read.
About graduate school.

I'm definitely not ready to apply to clinical psych grad programs this year, but I'm ready to start thinking about going through the process next year. It's a little overwhelming, so starting early seems to make a lot of sense.

I can totally do this. Right?

*It has always seemed inefficient to me that they make you walk through the cafe just to get to the next flight of stairs. Alas.
**My butt and my jaw are the littlest parts of me. Perhaps that's more than you needed to know. Alas.***
***Alas is apparently my word of the night. Alas.

  1. You can definitely do it, sometimes taking the baby step is the hardest part and you've already done that :)

I've tagged you on my blog! x

  2. You can do it!! I can give you tips :-)

  3. It's never too early to consider such things, right? I'm proud of you for planning ahead : ) Hope you enjoy your weekend!

  4. baby steps will get you far!
applying to grad school is one of those things where the more work/stress/soul you pour into the process, the more everything will work out in the end! The hardest part is picking programs and schools.

  5. congratulations! that's awesome. i hope the baby steps turn into big lunges. :)

  6. you can do it, you can do it, you can do it!!

  7. randomly stumbled across your blog - and love it!

i just finished (most) of my grad program this past summer and i just want to say YOU CAN DO IT! my program was a continuation of my undergrad so i stayed in the same school, but it allowed me to get the sweet job i have now... grad school is so very worth it and you get to feel all hoity-toity when you tell people you are working on your masters. or something like that!

  8. Going through the cafe to get to the next flight of stairs...I totally agree. I go in that coop whenever I'm not too lazy to get out to Cambridge. My first time in there I was very confused.
