You know what is awesome?

Knowing that today at lunch, I'm going to eat green beans that I grew from seed.

I'm pretty excited. I hope they taste delicious.

p.s. I invented a recipe for them. If it's good enough, I'll share later.

oh that is awesome! we have a meyer lemon tree, which is really fun, but i didn't plant it. i think that would be a whole other level of satisfaction.

i'm so impressed by your skills! don't you have the greatest sense of accomplishment that you're cooking food you grew yourself? can't wait to see the recipe you come up with!

I can't wait to rejoice in that feeling. We're going to be able to plant some fall herbs but that's probably it. So I'm going to study up this fall/winter and plan an elaborate garden in our new backyard. It's going to rule so hard! Happy weekend!
